About My Sunday
Welcome to My Sunday!
We are so glad you are here.
My Sunday was born out of one woman’s desire during the lockdown of a global pandemic to draw even closer to Christ, both personally and with her family by her side. It was the realization that even with the gift of extra time spent together now, things would eventually go back to normal, but Sundays would remain. It is that special day set aside to slow down, relax, spend time with family, and reflect on your relationship with God.
How you spend your Sunday is so important to your soul.
It lets you take a deep breath after the week just finished and recharges you for the one ahead. Spending the day infused with God’s word and then taking it easy with loved ones is what it’s all about. Sunday is arguably the best day of the week.
So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
Genesis 2:3
So how do you make sure you get the most out of this holy day and absorb its significance?
The My Sunday Journal started with the idea that having a place to encounter Christ with scripture, accompanied with a space to reflect on the weekly message, was a good place to start. In this particular time of uncertainty, it seemed like God was especially calling out for individuals to lean into their faith and onto Him even more. The My Sunday Journal is the perfect companion to answer that call.
The journal is designed so that the reader encounters scripture at their own pace…whether that means preparing for Sunday and reading the scripture ahead of time, taking the journal along to the service, or spending some quiet alone time after church to re-visit the word and settle into reflection. However you choose to use the journal is up to you.
It may be that the most important prompt of the whole week is the one called “This week I will try and live the message by” for church does not just start and end on Sunday alone.
To be good stewards, we have to take His message with us wherever we go and live it each day! Take what you reveal on Sunday and spread the Gospel by living the message of Christ!
