This week’s Gospel Reading for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time is taken from Mark 10:46-52. In this passage, another blind man is presented to Jesus for healing. This man wants to physically see, but in looking at him, we discover he already clearly sees Jesus for who he is. He calls out to Jesus by addressing him as the “Son of David.” The blind man knows! While he begs to see, he already believes in the mercy of Jesus before his vision is even restored. Lord, let our discipleship be like that of the blind man; that we shall know you even before we might fully be made aware of everything that you are. Let us #livemysunday in a way that you may come alive to us and so that we too, may see!
