Welcome to the Second Sunday of Lent. Most Gospel readings this week will look at Luke 9:28b-36. In today’s passage, Jesus takes Peter, John, and James “up the mountain to pray.” Transformative things usually occur whenever there involves a mountain in the bible and this occasion is no different. Peter and his companions see for the first time the glory of God in Jesus; it is an incredible moment for the disciples and their eyes have been opened. Looking at our own life, can you reflect on the moment your eyes were opened to Jesus? Do you remember when he became real to you? The moment that relationship happens to you changes everything. Sometimes it’s a rediscovery of the true awesomeness and depth of Jesus after a lifelong relationship of “going to church” or sometimes it’s a totally brand new and something that you never thought would never be a part of your life. However it happened remember how he became real and true in your life when you #livemysunday each and every day this week!
