This week’s Gospel reading for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time is taken from Mark 10:17-30 (others, through 31). After listening to Jesus tell the rich man to give up his possessions and follow him, the disciples are curious to know just who can be saved and how. Jesus says it’s not possible by man alone, but possible with God. Because He is good. He loves us so that we might chose to be with Him. If we chose to give up the worldly things that consume us and put our focus on Him, then we are taking the right steps. We cannot get through this life alone and we cannot make it to the kingdom of heaven alone. Focus on who will get us there, friends. We know the physical things we have will not grant us an entry ticket to heaven, so #livemysunday in a way that ensures you will also have a seat at the table.
