Today is the Second Sunday of Advent and so another purple candle is lit. This week’s candle represents PEACE and the peace that will come into our hearts once the Prince of Peace himself comes into this world. Let us speak a prayer of peace together, “Lord God, prepare us to understand the peace you will bring to our lives by the birth of your Son, Jesus Christ. Only he can bring us everlasting peace, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.”
