In this week’s Gospel reading for the Sixth Sunday of Easter, John 15:9-17, each verse is truly a treasure. Verse after verse we hear of the goodness of our Lord and what is waiting to be ours when we allow it. Keeping God’s commandments will not only yield us much fruit, but fruit that will last (and since this week’s reading is a continuation of last week’s we can understand the reference to bearing fruit!). We can abide in His love and feel His joy within ourselves because He chose us. Every day he chooses us, over and over again! Even on the days we don’t feel it, He does. In knowing that, let it shape how you handle relationships and not just with those you know. There is no greater gift we can give to one another to mimic God here on Earth than to love one another. In His perfection, He chooses to love us just the way we are, for who we are. Let’s try and do the same this week out and truly #livemysunday
